Mr. Rooney
I just wanted to say hi. My grandfather, Victor Kilian played "Pap" to you as Huck Finn. I jist noticed on the Hollywood H.S. website that you attended there also. I was in the Class of 1966. Best Wishes, Starr Kilian

Hi Mickey;
I was hoping to find a way to say how much you and my dad look alike, except he was taller then you. I've never seen you play a part that was not meant for you. My father worked all his life and never had a vacation. He had a voice that exceeded Josh Grobin . I wish there was away I could mail you a picture of him. Stay healthy and God Bless you for all the yrs of entertainment..... yes I could pass as your daughter.

Dear Mr. Rooney,
The Black Stalion, I just watched. I really enjoyed it. I remember as a child watching your movies and perhaps some radio programs when I was very young. We did not have a tv until I was about 12 years of age. I pray you will always have as much joy as you have given to so many others...

Hi Mickey,

And I feel that I can call you Mickey, as I have watched every film you've been in. I just watched a short on Foxtel in Australia with you and Judy Garland where you starred in one of the Hardy films. I believe as time goes by and you "pass" into history your legend status will only grow stronger. I guess I am of any age where you where I guess you would love to now be, but I wish the very best in your "retirement" and wish you nothing but the very best for another many more years.

Regards

Wayne Burton

Hello. I just moved to the Miami area. I am looking for a solid company to help me with a refinance. I purchased the house from a short sale and had to do business over the phone because I was living in Az. I dont think that I got a good deal. My interest rate in now 6.99 percent. I think that I can refinance and get a much better deal. Please point me in the right direction.

Dear sir, I have been awear that I have been related to Mickie Rooney now for some years, my grandmother Yule tells me before she passed away that her family took different paths in life, some went to England from Scotland and some to America, but as I remember my gran never met Mickie but her mother spoke of the family who went to America,

life is funny

I am researching my aunts, i was told that they knew mr. Rooney and his family from Vaudeville. They were known as the Red Hots.
Flo,Nelle,Ester, and Chubby. If you could contact mr. Rooney and ask him if he can remember anything that would be great.
Thank You Tom

I'm so glad to find this site. I love Mickey just like all the rest of you do for the same reasons. I know that God sent him to earth with all his different talents so he could help people during the hard times in the 20th century. I'm just grateful that TCM shows his movies and the 21st Century will be privilaged to see this genius at work. How I love his movies!! I love the Andy Hardy series, but I'll wait for any movie that he's in. I know he is getting older, I'm 69 and so was born in 1941, so I know we don't last forever, but he will thru the movies. May God continue to bless him with health and vitality. May we be blessed to always watch one of his wonderful movies and trully appreciate this genius who gave the world his talents, love, zest for life, goodness and himself. God bless you Mickey
Love,
Nancy

Thank you for your website. I have always wanted to see a part of my dad's history as he was a friend, coworker, movie theater owner and show business man. He spoke fondly of every person he ever worked with and I am truly grateful to be part of a movie family. Dad always said there is ' no business like show business.' Thank you for giving me warm memories of him...Always, Tribute to Roger J Dietz Sincerely, Darbie D. Minnesota

For Mickey....

WEEP NOT FOR ME

Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.

Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.

I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.

Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.

Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.

Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Hi Mr. Rooney and Mrs. Rooney,
My daughter and I just met you today outside of a restaurant in Arlington, VA (Legal Seafood). My daughter would not believe me that it was you. She was even skeptical until she googled you and your wife and compared the pics to her pic on the camera and was finally a believer. She is a Thespian and has always loved the theatre and is quite good. Has the looks of a blonde beauty but the humor delivery of a young I love Lucy! She was so impressed and I just wanted to thank you for being so gracious for allowing us to take a pic of you and fist bumping with us. Mrs. Rooney, Jan as Mr. Rooney introduced you, you are so right to be protective of one our national treasures! God Bless! Elaine and Jillian

It was fun to see Mickey's show in Ottawa in October. (2009) I brought 2 of my children who were 12, 13 and 14. They saw him in Andy Hardy and some films with Judy G. I like singing old songs too so it was enjoyable because I knew lots of them! We wanted to meet him but he couldn't come out because there's a dumb flu thing going around. I don't blame him at all!
My name is Gisele and I do imitations. They are on Facebook under: Gigi Spencer. I also have Xmas songs on Youtube: Huron Carol and I wander. I would have loved to know if what Mickey thought of my singing. An opinion from a true vet (be kind now!!)
God bless him. Thanks.
